Establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Tonga

On 10 February 2023, a signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Tonga took place in New York.

The Joint Communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was signed by His Excellency Mr. Jonibek Hikmat, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations, and His Excellency  Mr. Viliami Va'inga Tōnē, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Tonga to the United Nations.
