Meeting with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State

On September 19, 2023, on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America for Management and Resources Richard Verma.

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of constructive cooperation in the fields of economy, education, security, environmental protection, as well as partnership within international organizations.

It was emphasized that the first Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the United States of America in the C5+1 format, held on the same day in New York, would open a new page towards expanding and deepening of cooperation between the parties.
