On November 28, 2023, in Bishkek, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Salim took part and delivered a speech at the 13th meeting of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asian countries, which was organized by the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.
During the meeting, the participants discussed topics related to the need for collective action to combat the threats and challenges of our time, including terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, organized crime, climate change and other topical issues.
The Deputy Minister drew the attention of the meeting participants to the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to strengthen peace and stability in the country and the region, to combat the challenges of modernity and Tajikistan's contribution to promoting the water and climate agenda.
The importance of expanding cooperation between the Central Asian countries, especially within the framework of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, was also stressed.
