Second round of interdepartmental negotiations on the establishment of the SCO Anti-Drug Centre in the city of Dushanbe

On February 26, 2024, at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing, under the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan, the second round of interdepartmental consultations of the SCO member states were held on the establishment of the SCO Anti-Drug Centre as an independent permanent agency, in Dushanbe.

During the event, the exchange of views continued on the optimal modalities for the functioning of the new specialized institution of the SCO, capable of complementing national efforts to counter the drug threat.

The participants signed a protocol following the consultations, which were held in a constructive atmosphere.
