Celebration of the National Unity Day

On June 26, 2025, a meeting on the 28th Anniversary of National Unity Day was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Tajikistan.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin congratulated the Ministry’s personnel on this significant occasion—a symbol of the unity and integrity of independent Tajikistan. In his remarks, he highlighted the outstanding contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity -Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon to this historical process, establishing peace and stability in the country and enhancing the country’s international standing.

It was emphasized that as a result of the tireless efforts of the Leader of the Nation and through eight rounds of negotiations over three years, the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord was signed on June 27, 1997. 

It should be noted that the Tajik model of peace and reconciliation, which is considered unprecedented in modern history, has been studied and practically utilized by many countries and international organizations.
