Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan in the Tashkent Conference on countering terrorism

On 3 March 2022 in Tashkent Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the International Conference entitled «Regional Cooperation among Central Asian States within the Framework of the Joint Plan of Action (JPoA) for the Implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy».

In his statement, the Foreign Minister underlined the efforts of the Government of Tajikistan in countering the international terrorism, transnational organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, as well as the implementation of two National strategies on countering extremism and terrorism for the period of 2016-2020 and 2021-2025.

Minister Muhriddin called upon the representatives of the UN Member-States and international organizations to take an active part in the upcoming High-Level Conference in the framework of the «Dushanbe Process on countering terrorism and its financing» to be held in October 2022 in Dushanbe.
