Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Annual Coordination Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

On September 27, 2024, in the margins of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the Annual Coordination Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

In his statement, Minister Muhriddin expressed concern on increasing in hotbeds of tension and factors of instability, including growing threats of terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, as well as environmental challenges, and called upon OIC member states to take joint efforts to counter the challenges to regional and international security.

Minister of Foreign Affair emphasizing the importance of the “Dushanbe Counter-Terrorism Process” invited the OIC member states to participate in the next Dushanbe Process High-Level Conference, scheduled for November 4-5, 2024, in Kuwait City.
