Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia

On January 21, 2026, Mr. Ardasher Qodiri, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, held a constructive meeting with Mr. Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation of Malaysia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Malaysia in various fields, including the economy, trade, investment, as well as the water and energy sectors. The discussion also covered the participation of the Malaysian delegation in the 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018–2028, scheduled to take place on 25–28 May 2026 in Dushanbe.

Particular emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries through the expansion and development of trade ties, the creation of investment opportunities, and support for joint ventures in key industrial sectors.
