Political Consultations between Tajikistan and Oman

On 28 August 2026, the third round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman was held in Dushanbe.

The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Khomiddin Sharifzoda and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman for Political Affairs Sheikh Khalifa Al-Harithi.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, with particular attention to expanding cooperation in the political, trade and economic, investment, energy, transport and logistics, tourism, education and cultural sectors, as well as other areas of mutual interest.

The sides also exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues, as well as on strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and Oman within international organizations.

The sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue regular political dialogue and implement joint initiatives aimed at further advancing Tajik-Omani relations.
